The lineup exposes quite some symmetry: Two wind instruments (sax and trumpet), two string instruments (guitar and bass), and two percussion sets (vibraphone and drums). No keyboards whatsoever. Looks interesting on first sight, and, in turn, exceeds the expectations by far. It's always a lucky chance, if half of the brilliant musicians are likewise brilliant composers as well. Excellent writing is complemented by breathtaking improvisations - that's how jazz should be.
